I'm shaking the dust off my canvases and organizing my paints...yes, I plan to hit the studio soon.
For a while now I've hit a creative wall and life got in the way of pursing the arts. Kids getting out of school, etc...but now I hope to change that. I have prepped a couple of canvases with some heavy gesso and am working on a variation of a painting that I did called 'Revelation'. I'm trying my hand at more muted works. So we'll see. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
I have also begun reviewing my sketches from years past. I have a few that I would like to explore some mixed media approaches. I like mixing odds and ends and various paint/drawing materials to come up with something unexpected. Who knows where I'll end up?
I've found a site through a friend of mine (Beth Owl's Daughter - who is an AWESOME Tarot reader) and it's quite fun so I'm going to add the link to her site on my Blog page. I hope you enjoy her philosophy on life. Heck, I should just include Beth's link as well. She's a really fun, wise and juicy person. She inspires me.
Anyway...more to come. The ideas are finally flying again. I've been meaning to update the Blog and a friend of mine sent me a link to her Blog and it reminded me that I wanted to do the same.
