Today is miserably hot and humid. More rain is on the way - you can just feel it.
As I've been saying this week I'm working on my 'yard art'. Earlier I worked in our organic garden. Nature's art :) I'm a novice gardener so I'm learning many things the hard way. Usually that's the best way since you don't forget those lessons so easily. I love the way the colors emerge on the plants and vegetables. The vines grow in such interesting shapes and run to places I would never have imagined. Of course the satisfaction in eating the vegetables once they are grown is immense. (Like completing art that you are really proud of)
All of these things I tuck away. Perhaps I'll use the shape of a vine for a project or the variegated colors of my Coleus plant in a painting. Fodder for another time.
Perhaps with rain immanent I should just head right up to the studio now and use those ideas I've brought in from the garden.
Either way, I'm enjoying creation of one kind or another.
Embrace the day!
