Last day of summer vacation

Ah...well, today is the last day before school starts. I am going to try and take the kids off and do some fun things today. Tomorrow will be really hectic I know. I really don't envy teachers but I'm extremely grateful there are folks out there that love it.

Today is a bit better than yesterday (at least so far). As I type the youngest kitten is pouncing and playing and letting out little mews. To be that carefree.

Today is also one of my best friends birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONA! I'm a total pin-head and forgot to send everything out to her. I hope she won't mind my senior moment. She's such a talented writer, smart, very funny, beautiful and one of the bravest women I know. Maybe when I grow up I can be like that too. :)

So, go and tell someone you care about what it is that you love so much about them. It'll make their day!
