Without getting into too much information I have to take some progesterone every month. The side effect of this helpful medication is that I have intense and vivid dreams that often leave me exhausted. So far, I've dreamt of being in a future war, traveling to see dead relatives, plans within plans, just extensively detailed and colorful dreams. As many of you know, my 'vivid' dreams aren't a new thing but these are much more intense than normal.
I sometimes think during my dreams that I would love to remember this part or the next when I wake up. It's like watching a movie that you're completely drawn into and then the main character (yourself) turns and looks at the screen and says 'Remember this!'.
Often I want to remember parts because I want to be able to paint it or draw it later. There was one part of a recent dream where I was in space and could see things of my past that I've been holding onto or were a deep part of me all sewn together on a long heavy coat - like a picture collage. I am looking forward with a smile and the coat is sliding off of me as I'm moving forward into space. What a wonderful image of my perceived troubles/concerns/worries/traumas being released. I thought to myself during the dream that I would love to convey that on canvas.
Dreams are one of those things that have always fascinated me. I've had detailed, intricate dreams since childhood. If only I could create as easy in real life as I do in my dreams.
So what do you dream about? What do you see? Any recurring themes? Maybe you're living your dream(s) now.
Well, go and enjoy a dream today!
